Job History:

Red Rock Stamping, LLC
464 E. Chilton Drive
Chandler, Arizona 85225
Position: Facilities/Safety Manager
Tenure: 5/2006 – 7/2008

Red Rock Stamping, LLC formally Red Rock Stamping Company is a manufacturer of fabricated metal parts for the automotive industry and my duties included creating all safety and health policies and classes. It was also my responsibility to work with all local, state, and federal agencies, handle workman’s compensation, as well as third party contractors. I also recorded all accidents using the OSHA 300 and 300A logs, did job safety analyzing, risk assessments, and anything else pertaining to safety and health including wastewater treatment. In April of 2008 I was requested by our corporate owners, Hawthorn, LLC to travel to their facility in Columbus, Indiana, Columbus Components Group, LLC, and set up a safety program in that organization and help them with a very bad amputation they experienced. I ultimately had an office in Indiana as well and the program I set up was very successful and since OSHA was called in to investigate I also represented this company at their abatement hearing and successfully got their fine reduced to under $2,000.00. Since I have been at Red Rock Stamping I have reduced the OSHA recordable accidents by 27% and the lost work days by 100% to zero; further, since I have been at RRS we have had no ergonomics issues.

Goss Graphics

I was a site project and safety manager who traveled around the world. I found my job to be most fulfilling and my responsibilities included job safety analyzing, risk assessments, and anything else pertaining to safety and health on the job site. Depending on the size of the job it would not be unusual to have up to 300 skilled craftsmen working on a job at one time. When working in North and South America I usually was the safety manager for the entire crew, while in Europe I, for the most part, just administered our crews. I worked with both union and non-union crews.

2802 W. Palm Lane
Phoenix, AZ 85009
Position: Safety Manager
Tenure: 5/1990 – 8/1996

Ringier America was a commercial printer who employed approximately 150 people. I was the first safety manager this company employed so it was a real treat to see Ringier become a safety orientated employer. Among some of my jobs I established all the various safety policies and classes; further, I was the “go to person” for all regulatory agencies, and I also taught JIT and I was the coach for the TQM teams. In July of 1993 we had a new oxidizer which was 5-days old explode which caused major damage to the facility but fortunately caused no injuries to anyone. I was appointed to a committee of investigators from the insurance company, the third party vendor who sold us the equipment, and an independent expert (the man who investigated Ricky Nelsons’ plane crash. It took us two months to investigate this but we finally found the cause. During this period I went to the EPA weekly to get permission to vent a printing press to the atmosphere, at least this allowed us to run one press.

This employer recruited me for their Orlando, Florida Facility, then to the UK for nine months and finally to Denver, Colorado.
